Agents are able to contract with other companies while having this contract.
Advantages of contracting with UHC:
UHC MAPD plans and UHC Medicare supplements: In fact, UHC Medicare supplement plans are available in almost all states. They traditionally have very low rate increases and also have either the best or very competitive rates in most states. UHC pays Medicare supplement commissions on a weekly basis via direct deposit. They are not only very accurate with payments and agents but also can easily track all comp on their broker site. UHC offers a variety of both Advantage and Part D Rx plans in most states including $0 premium MAPD plans in many states. Agents receive compensation pay on a weekly basis. CMS regulates payment on plans. Payment max is different in some states. In short, you should look up the states you sell in to see max allowable compensation.
United Healthcare Medicare sales for agents: Seminars: UHC provides a seminar program to qualified brokers. Not only will UHC pay for all advertising, (newspaper and mailers) but also presentation/sales materials. They will provide training on how to run a successful seminar. Brokers will need to demonstrate an ability to present and follow up on sales opportunities. Seminars are a good way to find qualified clients.
United healthcare Medicare sales for agents: Fast and accurate commission payments: UHC pays commissions on a weekly basis. Agents will receive Payment after they submit each application. UHC will not hold your commission until the effective date of the policy. (Not applicable during OEP due to CMS rules). Brokers are provided with a portal giving them access to all commission payments and application statuses.
Independence: Broker contracts with United Healthcare Medicare sales are not captive contracts.
