United Healthcare Medicare Sales for Agents

A United Healthcare Medicare Sales  for agents contract is an important contract for a broker.  UHC offers not only Advantage and Part D but also Supplement plans.  Plans are available in all 50 states.  Brokers should offer a selection of products.  UHC offers plans starting at a $0 premium and up to the high-end Medicare Supplement plans.  Brokers not offering UHC may be losing chances to offer the best plan to each client.   We offer full street compensation, general agency and master general agency contracts to both agents and agencies.   Contracts are provided to independent brokers.  This is not a captive contract.  Agents are able to contract with other companies while having this contract.

    Advantages of contracting with UHC:

UHC MAPD plans and UHC Medicare supplements:   In fact, UHC Medicare supplement plans are available in almost all states.  They traditionally have very low rate increases and also have either the best or very competitive rates in most states.  UHC pays Medicare supplement commissions on a weekly basis via direct deposit.  They are not only very accurate with payments and agents but also can easily track all comp on their broker site.  UHC offers a variety of both Advantage and Part D Rx plans in most states including $0 premium MAPD plans in many states. Agents receive compensation pay on a weekly basis.  CMS regulates payment on plans.  Payment max is different in some states. In short, you should look up the states you sell in to see max allowable compensation.

United Healthcare Medicare sales for agents: Seminars:  UHC provides a seminar program to qualified brokers.  Not only will UHC pay for all advertising, (newspaper and mailers) but also presentation/sales materials.  They will provide training on how to run a successful seminar. Brokers will need to demonstrate an ability to present and follow up on sales opportunities.  Seminars are a good way to find qualified clients.

United healthcare Medicare sales for agents: Fast and accurate commission payments:  UHC pays commissions on a weekly basis. Agents will receive Payment  after they submit each application.  UHC will not hold your commission until the effective date of the policy.  (Not applicable during OEP due to CMS rules).  Brokers are provided with a portal giving them access to all commission payments and application statuses.

Independence:  Broker contracts with United Healthcare Medicare sales are not captive contracts. As a result,  if you are a broker who contracts for United Healthcare Medicare sales you will be able to contract with any other Medicare companies.  This allows a broker to find the best plan for their client at all times.

Why use Crowe and Associates as your up line?

We offer a number of benefits to contracted agents.  We provide:

    • Free Medicare supplement mail response leads,
    • Full Commission (even with free leads),
    • A free online quoting engine with ability to compare multiple carriers in any state/county,
    • Back office application processing,
    • You will still  receive pay directly from the insurance company,
    • You own your own book,
    • Online contracting, and also
    • Full Sales support and training.

UHC Certifications:  UHC requires certs to be completed to be appointed to sell.  Certs are completed online.  AHIP is available but not required with UHC. It can be purchased for $125 through UHC.  UHC does require certification to sell their  supplement plans as well.  Agents need to confirm ready to sell status prior to soliciting.  Do not sell a UHC MAPD plan in a state you are not licensed in. In brief,  If you are selling in other states, be sure UHC has that license on file.

UHC sales rules: UHC has adopted most of the CMS marketing rules.  They do have their own rules as well.  Agents need to be aware of both prior to selling.
