That is why they offer a choice of EmblemHealth Medicare Advantage plans. With Medicare Advantage they can offer plans that provide more services than with an original Medicare plan alone.
The area that EmblemHealth provides service for are all five boroughs of New York City. This includes; Nassau, Suffolk, Westchester, Orange and Rockland counties as well. At EmblemHealth, they strive to keep their members healthy.
If you are a broker who would like to be appointed with EmblemHealth, you must be certified through AHIP. You must also complete and pass the EmblemHealth Product and Fraud/Waste and Abuse training/testing. In fact, EmblemHealth conducts online product training and testing every year. You must contact your FMO to access the training and testing site.
You must be able to provide the following documents to be appointed:
- A copy of their New York State Accident & Health license
- Errors and Omission Insurance
- Assignment of Commission form
- Current AHIP Certification
- GHI/HIP Selling Agent Appointment Form
- A completed EmblemHealth FMO Contract
