Medicare Part D commissions 2018
CMS recently announced the maximum broker commission for 2018. Those in the Medicare sales business will be happy to know that the commissions have increased for the 3rd year in a row. Medicare Part D Maximum Broker Commissions
The initial Medicare Part D broker commissions have increased from $71 for a new member sign up per year to $72 for new member sign ups per year. , This is equivalent to a 1.4% increase compared to last years commission rate.
Although, the replacement commissions amount will remain the same for 2018 as it was for 2017. Therefore, it will be $36 for each member per year.

Keep in Mind-
Medicare Advantage as well as Part D rx compensation are pro-rated according to the month that the client enrolls in the plan. If someone signs up for a 9-1-17 start date, the agent will only receive compensation pay at 3/12th of the normal compensation rate. The renewal will start on 1-1-18 however and at that time the original start date of the Medicare Advantage or Part D plan will not matter.
