UHC OTC Catalog
Brokers/agents will have many clients who ask for the UHC OTC Catalog now that the new year has started. If your client is either new to the UHC plan or a member who has renewed their membership, they will all want to know which items are available to them with the OTC benefit this year.
Although the HMO Plans 1, 2, & 3 have different quarterly benefit amounts, your clients can use the same form for all three plans.

In order to use the OTC benefit, members may order only items listed in the catalog.
Please note, Firstline Medical is the name of the company that handles OTC orders. Members can order 1 of 2 ways. They can place an order either by mail or online. To place an order by mail they need to contact FirstLine Medical at 1-877-795-4521. This number accepts calls from 7a.m. until 7 p.m. Monday -Friday and on Saturday from 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. (Central time). They need to have their UHC membership card available before they call.
To place an order on line, they can go to www.OTC-Essentials.com. They should follow the prompts from there to set up an online account.
Brokers/Agents, please remind members that they must use their HMO OTC benefit by the end of each quarter. If they do not place an order before the quarter ends, they will lose that quarters benefit. These benefits expire at the end of every plan year. We recommend that members check their OTC benefit amount for each new year. Also, please make sure your client is aware that, they need to check on the new items available in the OTC catalog every year. This will help them make the most of their benefits. Additionally, you should let your clients know that their entire OTC order for each quarter must be done in one single order.
