Disability Insurance (DI) will provide you with short-term benefits or long term benefits if you have a full or partial loss of wages due to a non-work-related illness or injury. Your most important asset is not a material object, it is your ability to earn a living.
This is important coverage to have. DI pays some of your income in the event that you are unable to work for an extended period due to either an illness or injury. If you are like most people and rely on your paycheck, you need this coverage.
