Medicare Supplement Insurance, also called Medigap, is comprised of 10 standardized plans. Plans are in every state. As a matter of fact, the price each client pays for insurance may vary from different insurers. On the whole, the clients receive standardized benefits from each Medigap plan according to the letter of the plan they choose.
In fact, Cigna Medicare plans allow participants to use any healthcare provider that accepts Medicare; no referrals required.
Medicare plan G allows for basic benefits, covers the Part A deductible, includes emergency foreign travel coverage and some Part B excess coverage for a moderate monthly premium (Connecticut Monthly premium for 2015 is $219.54). Click Here to learn more about selling Medicare
Plan G includes:
- Hospitalization coverage: For the first 365 days in fact, the participant pays $0.
- Skilled Nursing Facility Care: for the first 100 days, the participant pays $0.
- Hospice Care: you pay $0.
- Medical Expenses: These include inpatient and outpatient hospital treatment. Participants pay $147 per year. The Part B deductible applies.
- Part B Excess Charges: participant pays $0.
- Laboratory Services/Diagnostic Testing: participants pay $0.
- Home Healthcare Medicare-Approved Services: participants pay $147 per year (until your Part B deductible is satisfied for the year).
- Foreign Travel – Unfortunately, Medicare does not cover foreign travel. Participants pay $250 each per calendar year.
