Colonial Life Voluntary Benefits

Colonial Life specializes in voluntary benefits at the worksite.  They have group and Individual product lines that are fully integrated and use the same enrollment and service platforms so they can fit the need of any size broker or business.  Currently, Colonial has more than 75,000 business accounts and 3 million policyholders nationwide with annual sales of over $345 million.

Colonial offers programs for independent brokers, captive and non captive agencies and agents.   They can support sales hierarchy structures for agencies with down line producers and provide the training and support needed to get your voluntary benefits business off the ground fast. They will also provide a territory recruiter to help recruit new reps to your sales team and access to a regional instructor to help train reps in the field and classroom.

Wellcare Medicare Enrollment Connecticut

Wellcare offers three plans in 4 Connecticut counties (Fairfield, Hartford, New Haven, Tolland) which are the Choice (HMO-POS), Access (HMO -SNP) and Value (HMO) plans.

VALUE PLAN-  The Value plan has very strong benefits compared to the other HMO Medicare Advantage plans in Connecticut.  The Major Radiology benefit at a $100 copay and the Outpatient surgery benefit at $200 copay is the lowest respective copays available.   CLICK HERE TO ENROLL IN VALUE PLAN

ACCESS PLAN-  The Wellcare Access plan provides a good value to dual eligible customers.  (QMB or higher state level of help to join)  This plan features a $30 a month over the counter benefit, vision, dental, hearing benefits and transportation. This plan is open to enrollment year round for anyone on Medicaid/Medicare & QMB’s.  It fully coordinates with Medicaid to provide for no out of pocket costs for Medicare covered services and benefits.  CLICK HERE TO ENROLL IN ACCESS PLAN

Gerber Life Sales Contract

Gerber Life has made their guaranteed issue life contract available to brokers.  This plan sold by an internal agent and mail only in the past.   Policies cover people ages 50 to 80.   Face amounts of $5,000 to $25,000 are available.  They run in increments of $5,000 only.  These offer lower rates than other guaranteed issue plans.  Gerber has the best rates for people in their 50’s and 60’s.  For people in their mid 60’s and 70’s, Vantis Life will have a lower rate on a guaranteed issue basis.   Crowe and Associates can offer a Gerber Life Sales Contract to licensed agents.

Gerber Guaranteed Issue Life Insurance

Gerber is a guaranteed issue life insurance plan so clients can not be denied due to health conditions.  No health questions asked!   Approved in almost all states.   It is not approved in  AR and MT.  Product is in NY.  Additionally, a 2 year graded benefit applies.  Death in the first 2 years results in a return of premium +10% interest.   A full death benefit pays out in the first two years if death occurred due to accidental death.

What is the commission for the Gerber Life sales contract?

Geber pays initial commissions and renewals directly to brokers.  (Gerber does not advance commissions to agents.  Commissions are paid as earned.  Hierarchy payment structures are available for agencies.   Individual producer commission is 50% and agency commissions are 60%.

Overall, Gerber is a great contract to have.   The policy has very strong rates and also has some other advantages over their main competitor, Vantis Life.  We recommend having both contracts if you are in the final expense business.
