Agents will use a dialer to call DNC compliant phone lists for those either turning 65 or those already on Medicare. Using a dialer will save a great deal of time and also can help you track how much you are calling and who you have contacted. It is important to remember you can only cold call for Medicare supplements and not for Medicare Advantage or Part D plans. For T-65 lists, you should call prospects well in advance of them being 65. Usually anywhere from 3 to 10 months prior will work. Others will call those already on Medicare to talk to them about changing to a different supplement plan. Using mass email
CMS rules now allow agents to cold prospect for Medicare Advantage and Part D plans via email. Emails that are sent out must have a valid opt out option. Email lists can be obtained in a number of ways. Agents can buy opt in lists or use their own lists of email addresses. It is important to use an email service when sending out emails to large numbers of prospects. If the opt out rate is too high the email service will suspect the account. It is also important to have a separate email address to use when sending out mass emails. We do not recommend that you use your regular business email.
