The AltruaHealthShare is a great way to provide your clients with the help they need for medical expenses without breaking the bank. Altrua Ministries (dba Altrua HealthShare) is NOT an insurance company it is a non-profit organization. These memberships are not available through any insurance company. Members of the healthshare are considered self-pay patients. Healthshare plans are also called Healthshare Ministry plans
Altrua HealthShare is health care sharing ministry.
They do not require members to get a signed acknowledgement by a pastor, elder or representative from a local church verifying church attendance. They also do not require signatures by clergy to validate medical needs the members submit for sharing. Members do not have to wait for other members to send individual checks to receive payment of medical services. When a member submits an eligible medical need to the membership, it is shared according to the membership guidelines and escrow instructions.
Altrua Healthshare – The way this plan works is simple.
Members of the plan make monthly contributions into an escrow account and the plan administrators distribute payments for members Medical services according to the membership guidelines. When a member goes to a medical provider for a service, they present their Id card. The Id card has instructions for the providers to use in order to receive payment.
Additionally, there are 4 different plan options available for members to choose from. Every plan includes services such as; tele-medicine & counseling services as well as discounts on both pharmaceuticals, medical equipment and supplies.
